1946–47 Manchester City F.C. season
(Redirected from 1946-47 Manchester City F.C. season)
The 1946–47 season was Manchester City's 45th season of competitive football and 13th season in the second division of English football.[1] In addition to the Second Division, the club competed in the FA Cup. Whilst top of the league, almost 70,000 fans packed Maine Road to watch City play second placed Burnley in a First Division promotion decider, therefore also being a big step towards the title for City. It is likely to be the highest ever attended match outside the top flight in English history.
