Adams and Bollegraf lost in the quarterfinals to Serena Williams and Venus Williams.

Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suárez won in the final 7–6, 6–4 against Amanda Coetzer and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario.[1]
