Powertrain
editIn China, the five-seater was driven to market launch by a 140 kW (188 hp; 190 PS), turbocharged 1.8-litre petrol engine. As standard, the BX5 has a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, optional four-wheel drive is available.[3] Later a 1.4-litre petrol engine with 110 kW (148 hp; 150 PS) and front-wheel drive and a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 165 kW (221 hp; 224 PS) with all-wheel drive from the BX7 was made available. In Germany, the BX5 is unlike initially thought to be sold exclusively with an electric motor.[4]
