Opposed speedy move request
edit- Category:Artists of the Spanish Netherlands to Category:Artists from the Spanish Netherlands – C2C. Rathfelder (talk) 08:32, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- C2C within what? Category:People of the Spanish Netherlands uses "of". Category:Artists by nationality uses "from" for current countries where the demonym is deprecated, but "of" for Category:Artists of the Ottoman Empire as a former country. (The Republic of Geneva hierarchy is inconsistent with the majority in Category:People by former country.) – Fayenatic London 14:06, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- There is Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2021_May_13#Category:Artists_from_the_Southern_Netherlands and the discussion above it, but that does not establish C2C. Opposed. – Fayenatic London 19:38, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Note: "from" is now accepted for artists, as for historians and a few others. See Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2021_May_13#Category:Artists_from_the_Southern_Netherlands. – Fayenatic London 12:43, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Update: "from" becomes the new standard following Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2022_September_4#Category:People_of_the_Russian_Empire. This category hierarchy and all like it may now be speedily renamed using "from". – Fayenatic London 10:11, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
- "from" is fine by me. I like consistency. Rathfelder (talk) 13:42, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
