Category:Jewish films

edit

I restored this category because the vast majority of Holocaust films are about the Jewish genocide during the Holocaust. There are only a few exceptions, such as Paragraph 175. Goustien (talk) 06:45, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cuddly communist genocides ... not a subject of interest

edit

The number of Holocaust-themed movies isn't a problem - it's a profound enough subject to deserve as many works are are made. The staggering contrast is the number of movies that investigate the communist mega-democides of the 20th century, which killed 100 million at least: virtually no films made at all.

This shows how the left, who comprise the core community of movie producers, only condemn genocides they haven't themselves perpetrated. What vicious hypocrites they are ... Category structure

edit

The intro says: 'This category is for films presenting fictional depictions of the Holocaust. For documentary films, see Category:Documentary films about the Holocaust.' Yet Documentary films about the Holocaust are asserted to be a sub-category.

Ideally, there would be a hierarchy of an overarching category of all films on the subject, with subcategories for drama and documentary. To resolve the above conflict, either drama films about the Holocaust should be a sub category of this category and the intro amended or this should be renamed e.g. Drama films of the Holocaust and documentaries should be excluded. There may be consequential adjustments to other categories and to articles. 10:28, 18 May 2024 (UTC) Jontel (talk) 10:28, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
