editUS-centric and loaded category
editI realize the term "Latino" is a broad term, but my understanding of it is that it generally doesn't include Spaniards (who would be Hispanic and not Latino), and its use to describe Brazilians is somewhat controversial (as many of them associate it more with Spanish speakers). I believe at least one of these singers is Catalan and hence neither Latino or Hispanic. At any rate, both terms are very US-centric. Latino isn't unheard of in Latin America, but is primarily used in countries closer to the US such as Mexico, while the longer Latinamericano is used more often in South America. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:4B:400:C030:E90E:33E1:2225:D714 (talk) 02:26, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- This category refers to musicians who perform Latin music, not musicians who are merely of Latine descent. Erick (talk) 18:57, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
