David Holý (born 4 March 1998) is a Czech pole vaulter. He has won national titles both indoors and outdoors.[1]

Early life
editHolý was born on 24 February 2000 in Chrudim.[2] A keen footballer in his youth, he attended school in Chrudim before attending college in Hradec Králové.[3]
Career
editHe is a member of Athletics Chrudim.[4] He is coached by Czech former Olympic pole vaulter Zdeněk Lubenský.[5][6] He won the Czech indoor national title in February 2023 in Ostrava.[7] He won the Czech national title in July 2023 in Tibor.[8]
He was runner-up at the Czech indoor national championships in February 2024 in Ostrava.[9] He qualified for the final and placed twelfth overall at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome.[10][11] He placed third at the Czech outdoor national championships in June 2024 in Zlín.[12]
In July 2024, he was selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics.[13]
