Deutscher Medienpreis (German Media Award) was an annual accolade presented from 1992 to 2016 by Media Control, a German market statistics company. The award aimed to honor individuals who had a significant impact on public life.[1]
Description
editThe award ceremonies took place in Baden-Baden, the headquarters of Media Control, attended by approximately 200 distinguished guests. The trophy was a handcrafted, painted ceramic figure mounted on a blue Brazilian marble base, designed by Swiss artist Roland Junker, who had resided in Germany since 1972. Each year, the sculpture featured different colors and was produced by the State Majolika Manufactory in Karlsruhe.[1]
The award was discontinued after 2016.[2]
