Adam Lynn is an American entrepreneur and music industry executive. He is the co-founder and CEO of Breakaway Group (formerly known as Prime Social Group), an independent entertainment and music company that produces music festivals and live events across the United States and internationally. Lynn has been included in Goldman Sachs' list of "100 Most Interesting Entrepreneurs".[1] and has been recognized by Billboard magazine as a "Dance Power Player"[2]
Early Life and Education
editLynn was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He attended the University of Michigan[3], where he founded a college event promotion company called Social Studyz[4], which later evolved into Breakaway Group.
Career
editBreakaway Group
editLynn co-founded Breakaway Group[5], a company focused on organizing and promoting live music events. The company produces more than a dozen music festivals[6] annually across the United States, featuring genres such as dance and electronic music. Artists who have performed at Breakaway events include The Chainsmokers, Kendrick Lamar, ODESZA, Kygo, Travis Scott, Halsey, and Chance the Rapper.
Breakaway Group has received investment from entities and individuals such as Celsius, RSE Ventures (founded by Stephen Ross), Sony Music, David Solomon, George Ruan (Co-Founder of Honey), and Animal Capital.
Breakaway Projects
editLynn also founded Breakaway Projects, a music label and management company representing EDM artists, including Gashi, Night Tales, Mojave Grey, and Jaded. The label aims to support emerging talent in the dance and electronic music genres.
Our Music Festival
editIn 2018, Lynn co-founded Our Music Festival (OMF), which was described as the first decentralized music festival incorporating blockchain technology.[7]
Prime Social Group
editIn 2010, Lynn co-founded Prime Social Group (PSG), a promotional company based in Columbus, Ohio[8]. PSG organized concerts, nightlife events, and other entertainment activities, hosting performances by artists such as Tiesto, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Kevin Hart, and Steve Angello. Within its first three years, PSG organized over 250 events and expanded to include international tours, concerts, and other live entertainment formats.
