Career
editHe graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism.
After his graduation he worked on television channels such as Kanal D, Show TV, and Habertürk, and served as a reporter, news director, and Ankara representative for Vatan and Habertürk newspapers. He served as the Press Consultant of the CHP Group in the TBMM between 2011-2013, and as a Member of RTÜK between 2013-2015. He ran as the CHP Kahramanmaraş 1st place deputy candidate in the November 2015 Turkish general elections, but was not able to elected.
He ran as the CHP Kahramanmaraş again for second time 1st place deputy candidate in the 2018 Turkish general elections, and was elected as an MP this time. He has been a member of the CHP Party Assembly since 2016. Ali Öztunç,he speaks English and German fluently, and he is married and has 2 child.[2]
He submitted his resignation to party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the Central Management Comission(MYK) of Chp meeting held on June 1, 2023, and resigned from the MYK.[3]
