Anderson J. Peeler was a lawyer and politician in Florida. He served in the Confederate Army.[1] He was selected by Florida's governor to a panel drafting Florida's constitutional review committee. It proposed White supremacist black codes.[2]

After the American Civil War he served on Florida's constitutional review committee that issued a report recommending that Florida maintain as much as possible the "benign, but much abused and greatly misunderstood institution of slavery."[3]

He married Elizabeth F. Walker.[4]
