Birgit Schier (born 23 September 1967[1]) is an Austrian gymnast. She started the sport at age five, and trained primarily with coaches in the Eastern Bloc. Although she qualified for the 1984 Summer Olympics, Austria declined to send only one gymnast. Schier later attended UCLA on a gymnastics scholarship.[2] After her sports career, she became a Hollywood stuntperson.[3]
