Báite (The Drowned)

Báite (also known as The Drowned) is a 2025 Irish-language drama-mystery film directed by Ruán Magan and starring Eleanor O'Brien, Moe Dunford, Padraig O Loingsigh, Juliette Crosbie and Oisín Mistéil. The film follows a young pub owner in a rural Irish community who becomes involved in a murder investigation when a body is discovered in a lake.^[1]

The film was produced by Danú Media as part of TG4's Cine4 scheme. The production was also funded by Coimisiún na Meán and Screen Ireland.^[2]

The Irish language feature was awarded for its music composition at the Galway Film Fleadh and the Irish Film and Television Awards in 2026.^[3]
