Edafe Rich Urhomo, known professionally as Richrok, is a Nigerian musician, music producer, mix and mastering engineer, and songwriter. Born on November 10th in Delta State, Nigeria, Richrok's musical journey began at a young age, and he has since become a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene. Ethnically based in Lagos, Nigeria, Richrok is the CEO of Richrok Legacy.
In 2023, Richrok was honored with an award from the President of Loveworld Inc,[1] Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome DSC DSC DD, in recognition of his exemplary dedication, exceptional performance, and valuable contributions to the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry.[1]
Music Career
editRichrok's musical career officially began in 2012, although he started singing at the age of 12. He released his debut single, "Yes Sir![2]"[3] in 2021, marking the beginning of his professional journey.
In February 2023, Richrok followed up with his second track titled "I'm Alive,[4]" showcasing his versatility and talent. Throughout the same year, he continued to captivate audiences with singles like "None Like You[5],[6]" released in June, and "All The Glory," released in September.
In January 2024, Richrok announced the release of his debut single of the year, "Celebrant[7],[8]" a song celebrating joy and festivity. The track quickly gained popularity, earning a spot on various playlists including the Boomplay New Gospel Release Playlist.
Richrok's approach to music is characterized by his refusal to confine himself to a single genre. He embraces a dynamic style, flowing with the spirit of God in his creative process.
