Background

The performance was originally being produced as a stage performance at the Delacorte Theater as part of the Free Shakespeare in the Park series but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was adapted into a radio drama instead.[1][2][3] The audio production was produced by WNYC Studios and The Public Theater[4] and stars André Holland and Lupita Nyong'o.[5][6] The recording was done over Zoom.[7]
