Submission declined on 28 November 2024 by Bobby Cohn (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

George Griffin Stonestreet (1744/5–1802) was elected first director of the Phoenix Fire Office and Pelican and British Empire Life Insurance Company in 1786. These insurance companies are now part of RSA Insurance Group.[1]
The portrait shown here was painted by Thomas Lawrence and first exhibited at the Royal Academy in the same year as Stonestreet's death in 1802.[2]
The portrait here is scheduled by Bonhams for sale by auction on 4th December 2024.[2]
