George Groves (born 1999) is an English contemporary portrait artist,[1] based in Buckinghamshire.
In 2022, Groves unveiled one of his most notable portraits of British astronaut Major Tim Peake,[2][3][4][5] and is also known for his portraits of Mark Ormrod,[6][7][8][9][10] Idris Elba and Christine Ohuruogu.[11]
His portrait of Muhammad Ali is in the permanent collection at the Muhammad Ali Center,[12][13] in Louisville, Kentucky.
Personal life
editGroves works from his studio in Gerrards Cross, and practices meditation and mindfulness[14] to encourage his creativity.
