Josef Hollywood is a British radio presenter, DJ, Journalist and businessman from Liverpool, England. He started his career in radio, where he presented on numerous radio stations, most notably for Capital FM, and DJ's at events across the UK. He currently hosts 4pm-7pm on Capital Liverpool.
Early Life
editJosef Hollywood was born on 26 November 2000 in Liverpool, England to Ian and Catherine Hollywood. He has two siblings; an older brother, Reuben, and younger sister Eleanor.
Hollywood attended Christleton High School in Chester, before completing his studies at Liverpool Media Academy in Liverpool City Centre.
Career

Josef started his career, aged twelve, on Wirral Radio (formerly 7Waves Radio) [2] where he hosted Early Weekday Breakfast and Weekend's with Kev Seed[3].
Josef left Wirral Radio in June 2017 to join Liverpool based radio station Zest Liverpool. He hosted The Evening Vibe on the station, which focused on celebrity gossip and pop-culture.[4]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Josef presented his radio show from home.
In September 2020, Josef presented his final show on Zest, and joined In Demand Radio two weeks later. The Brekky Butler is a breakfast radio show hosted by Lee Butler and Josef Hollywood on In Demand Radio in Liverpool.[5] [6]. [7] [8]
In September 2023, Josef shared his departure from In Demand Radio and later that month, announced that he will be joining Capital Liverpool and hosting 4pm-7pm across the city[9]
Ocular Media
Following his education at Liverpool Media Academy and National Council for the Training of Journalists, Josef founded marketing agency, Ocular Media, in March 2020.[10]
Personal Life
editJosef is openly gay and came out in 2020, months before being nominated for an LGBTQ+ Business Award, which he later won “Entrepreneurial Spirit”.[11] [12]
Josef has been in a relationship with pharmacist, Miceal Duggan, since June 2021.
