In Year 5, students are offered the opportunity to learn a concert band instrument and play in a band, under the college's "Blast Off Band" instrumental program. The instrument and lessons are provided free by the college for the duration of the program. Students receive lessons on their allocated instrument in small groups and attend band practice each week. Instruments offered include flutes, clarinets, baritone horns, trumpets, saxophones (alto and tenor), trombones, tuba and percussion.

editKingsway Christian College is notable for its Basketball Academy, which has produced some well-known professional basketball players.[8] The college has partnered with Coach Andy Stewart (from “Coachinghoops”), a former head coach of the Perth Lynx and former assistant coach for the Perth Wildcats,[7] to provide a Specialist Basketball program offering tailored coaching sessions and classes to students in Year 7 to Year 12.[7] The college provides basketball as an optional elective to the Upper School students.[9] Students complete studies in the practical components of the game of Basketball and coaching sessions are held at either the nearby Warwick Stadium or on the College’s basketball facilities.[9]
Students receive three sessions a week of basketball, two of which will be practical sessions with Coach Andy. One of these practical sessions will be before school and the other practical session during students' timetabled double period.[6] The third session will be a single period at school where students will cover aspects such as sports nutrition, strength, and conditioning, as well as personal skills practice sessions.[6]
In 2024, it was announced that Ashlee Monaghan will be completing her studies at Kingsway Christian College, under an academic and basketball scholarship.[10]
