Light Flash Productions is an American & Swiss film production company created and owned by actor, fight choreographer, director and producer Brian Pinkus. Founded in 2014 Light Flash Productions was specialised in action and martial arts cinema until up to 2016, when they started to make commercials, music videos and corporate films for clients. Now Light Flash Productions produces all sorts of films, ranging from action and martial arts, all the way through thriller, drama and romantic films.
After several years, the demand for stunt and fight coordination in Switzerland was very big, that's when Brian Pinkus created Light Flash Production's little brother, the BP Stuntteam, a company specialised in the creation of fight coreographies, performance of stunts and action and martial arts cinema.
History
editFounding (2014)
editHaving acted in various films at that time in Switzerland, Brian Pinkus found a lac of decent action and martial arts cinema. He had a plan to make his own films, however he didn't have a company yet and no people to do this. In May 2014 he started to brainstorm about names he could call his company. First he came up with the name Supernova Productions. He created a logo for that company name, without success. He wasn't happy about the name, because it didn't sound really catchy and thought people wouldn't remember that name, so he continued to brainstorm and come up with another name. Next name that came to mind was U Screen Studios, however this also wasn't a good fit for Pinkus. He had to brainstorm a little more. Then in June, Light Flash Productions was born with the first logo and animation.
Early years (2014 - 2018)
editLight Flash Productions first was a one-man show, directed by Pinkus and camera operated by him as well. Boom operators came and left, so did the camera guys he had. Light Flash Productions had its breakthrough in 2015 when they coproduced the award winning feature film "The Radicalisation of Jeff Boyd. In 2016 Pinkus got his first full time boom operator, a huge part of Light Flash Production and the longest working employee. The logos also changed throughout the years and become more and more professional. In 2018 he had a full-time crew working with him on movies and producing projects for clients.
(2018 - Present)
editIn 2018 Light Flash Productions was involved in bigger productions with more employees. Their company logo also changed to the one known today and their work and logo got known all across Europe until 2020 when the pandemic hit and they had a major lockdown in Switzerland. They had to stop working for some time due to the new rules and regulations in the country. In the end of 2020 they started filming again with masks and other precautions that had to be taken in order to be allowed to film. They filmed their major break through with the series "Triad Power" coming back strong from this major setback. Ever since many companies hire Light Flash Productions and its crew members for major films.
