Mikko Kärkkäinen (born 1975) is a Finnish entrepreneur and business executive known for his contributions to supply chain management and retail technology. He is the co-founder and CEO of RELEX Solutions.[1][2][3]
Education and career
editKärkkäinen earned a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management and Industrial Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in 2000, later completing a PhD in 2005.[2][4][5][6] He began his career as a Supply Chain Consultant at Sedecon Consulting and served as a Project Manager at the Helsinki University of Technology BIT Research Centre.[2][7]
In 2005, Kärkkäinen co-founded RELEX Solutions alongside Johanna Småros and Michael Falck.[8][9][10][11] Since 2006, he has been a member of the Board of Directors at Retail Logistics Excellence – RELEX Oy.[2]
In 2022, Kärkkäinen and his co-founders established the RELEX Foundation for a Better Future,[9] a €100 million charity focused on addressing climate change and inequality.[12][13][14][15] He has published thirty academic papers and speaks on logistics and supply chain management.[16][17][6][18]
