River, Stay 'Way From My Door is a 1931 song written by Mort Dixon, Harry M. Woods.[1]. In the same year it was recorded for the first by Jimmie Noone and his orchestra[2]. However, its most famous rendition was by Frank Sinatra in 1960 for Capitol Records[3], backed by a Nelson Riddle orchestra[4]. Sinatra's version featured on the 1961 compilation album All The Way[5] and was included as a bonus track on Frank Sinatra's album Come Swing With Me! in the following year.

In 1960, Frank Sinatra's version reached a peak position of 82 and had a two week stint on the U.S Billboard Hot 100™ charts[6]. The song also reached a peak position of 18 and spent 9 weeks in the UK charts[7]
