Sam Adventure Baker (born 2013 or 2014) is an American climber. His father claims he is the youngest climber to ascend El Capitan and Moonlight Buttress via rope ascent at the age of eight.[1][2]
Early life and climbing career
editBaker began climbing at the age of three with his father, Joe. Baker's ascents include following:
- El Capitan via rope ascent [1][3]
- The Matterhorn[4]
- Moonlight Buttress [5]
- Fairview Dome in Yosemite National Park[2]

While Joe Baker has claimed to news outlets that Sam is the "youngest person to climb El Capitan",[5] others in the climbing community have challenged that claim.[1]
