Severus Hill is a four-acre plot of land in Holgate, York. The hill has connections to Septimius Severus and the Napoleonic Wars.[1]

It is believed by many that the Roman emperor Septimius Severus was cremated at the site of the hill due to Roman tradition and the fact a Roman road was found near the hill. The antiquary Francis Drake (antiquary)
