The Sundering Adventurer's Chronicle was a Facebook app launched by Wizards of the Coast^[1] to help players track their adventures, story progress, and character achievements during the Dungeons & Dragons "The Sundering" storyline, which reshaped the Forgotten Realms.

Purpose: The app served as a social media tool to chronicle player adventures and align them with the official lore events.
The Event: "The Sundering" refers to the separation of the worlds of Abeir and Toril, affecting the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
Context: It was part of a major cross-media campaign involving novels and games to highlight changes in the D&D universe.

The Sundering Adventurer's Chronicle was built on top of the Facebook Open Graph API, and was the first app to connect D&D players digitally. The app was located at www.dndsundering.com^[2] and served new content and stories and facilitated irl tabletop gaming sessions that led to visible achievements on the app. The app launched in 2013^[3] as part of Wizards of the Coast's 40th Anniversary promotion and existed for 10 years before it was sunset by the Wizards of the Coast D&D brand team (need citation).
