Early Life and Education Taylor Clagett was born and raised in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, where he became a standout student-athlete, excelling in both soccer and lacrosse. Clagett was recognized as having the highest GPA of any two-sport varsity athlete in his graduating class.
Lacrosse Career Clagett continued his lacrosse career at the University of Notre Dame, where he gained recognition for his exceptional faceoff skills. Throughout his time at Notre Dame, Clagett became widely regarded as one of the best faceoff specialists in the school's history. His contributions to the team were instrumental in their competitive performance during his tenure, and he played a key role in Notre Dame’s success in NCAA lacrosse. Clagett’s performance on the field earned him accolades, and he remains one of the most accomplished players in the program's history. After completing his collegiate career, Clagett was drafted into the Major League Lacrosse (MLL), continuing his career as a faceoff specialist.
Coaching Career Following his playing career, Clagett continued to be involved in lacrosse as a coach at many levels. He currently helps coach the Dutch Men's National Lacrosse Team and Highland Park (TX) High School.
Jeopardy! Appearances Clagett appeared as a contestant on the game show Jeopardy! and won three times, including a semi-final appearance in the Champions Wildcard Tournament. His performances on the show contributed to his recognition outside of the sports community. Outside of his impressive performance, his Jeopardy appearances also gained prominence because he donated a portion of his winnings to the Taylor Anne Foundation; this foundation was created to honor the life & legacy of his niece Taylor Anne who passed away in 2022, while raising funds for Pediatric Cancer Research
Personal Life Clagett earned an MBA from Northwestern and lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
