A virtual headshot is a type of head shot which is taken without the need for a professional photographer, and then edited to look like a professional headshot.
Virtual headshots rose in popularity during the Covid Pandemic during which face-to-face headshot sessions were forced to stop. Since then, the in increase in remote working has resulted in virtual headshots becoming a new solution within the corporate headshot industry.
James Kenny (photographer) is regarded as the pioneer [1] of the virtual headshot.
