Draft:Warren C. Trenchard

  • Comment: As mentioned previously, "substantial reviews in third-party published independent reliable sources are what is needed" so something like this, this and this showing impact.

  • Comment: Citations in google scholar are completely irrelevant in fields like theology. the measure of his notability is the importance of his books, and substantial reviews in third-party published independent reliable sources arewhatis needed DGG ( talk ) 19:12, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Comment: There's nothing here to suggest that this person is notable by our standards. According to Google Scholar he has an h-index of about 2; on Scopus he isn't listed at all. The page contains swathes of unsourced content, and content that is not supported by the source cited. I haven't checked all of the sources, but I don't see any that cover his life and achievements in depth and in detail – they all appear to be passing mentions at best. If there are any such sources please point them out. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:05, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

Canadian Union College

edit

[6][7][8][9][10][11]

In 1980, along with librarian colleague at Canadian Union College, Keith Clouten, Trenchard developed a major re-write of the Library of Congress classification schedule BX 6101–6189, which was deemed as inadequate to incorporate the massive and complex published materials associated with Seventh-day Adventism. This especially involved the large bibliography of writings by Ellen G. White. What Clouten and Trenchard created is now used by Adventist academic libraries worldwide and is updated and distributed by the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Librarians.[12]
