"At ₹2.5 crore per day cost, Bawaal is Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor's most expensive movie". Hindustan Times. 27 July 2022.
- Comment: The Hindustan Times reference quotes an unnamed source affiliated with the production about the money being spent and makes the claim that this is Varun's most expensive film. While the Hindustan Times is "independent" of the production, the person they quote is not and the claims this person makes are not claims by the Hindustan Times.

- Comment: This Pinkvilla reference uses the same quote from an unnamed source that the Hindustan Times article quotes. It reports many of the same things.
