But hey, maybe something can be built on from what is said in the Babe Ruth article: "Once the season concluded, Ruth married Helen in Ellicott City, Maryland. Creamer speculated that they did not marry in Baltimore, where the newlyweds boarded with George Ruth, Sr., to avoid possible interference from those at St. Mary's—both bride and groom were not yet of age[1][42] and Ruth remained on parole from that institution until his 21st birthday." So something like:
- "Did you know that... Babe Ruth and his bride were both under age when they snuck away to Saint Paul Catholic Church in Ellicott City, Maryland to get married?
From the Babe Ruth article:
"Ruth met Helen Woodford (1897–1929), by some accounts, in a coffee shop in Boston where she was a waitress, and they were married on October 17, 1914; he was 19 and she was 17."[1]

- Doncram, that looks good. You'll see I added to the article a mention of the fact that he later claimed to have been married in Elkton. He was definitely very secretive about certain aspects of his past. Anyway, I think this article is ready to be created. I'm going to do that now.Display name 99 (talk) 18:34, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
Development
editOkay, great, i see it is in mainspace now, and I think it is fine for it to be there. Thank you Display name 99 for adding the picture of the high mass going on inside in 2013, and for your other development. Thoughts:
- about the Pastor list. This is not required but is okay as a feature of a church article, as long as it is sourced. I would be happy to see a sentence or two about some of them, explaining their importance perhaps, else I don't quite see why they should be listed at all, technically. I see the list of pastors got developed out more than it was before, but I notice there's a gap from 1953 to 1962 which maybe you want to fill? There were a couple sources (which I am not checking now) which listed the pastors so I hope you can. It would be okay/good to have a footnote for each pastor separately (with repetition of source by use of a named footnote invoked several times), if the info is from more than one place, to keep documented what info is from where.
- about physical description of building/architecture: I can add more. There's just one sentence now, which you might see i was developing from the NRHP nomination information which narrates first about 2 windows on the front facade, while the photo shows there is a third window of the same type on the front of the tower. I will modify it to cover the third window and more. It may be clear enough in the documentation to sort out, but I am unclear right now how the church is laid out, what is behind the door at the base of the tower, and which is the main entrance to the church. Is the main/front entrance the two stairways up to the two sides of the tower, and is that the level of the worship hall? Please feel free to clarify/develop about this, using sources, but again I will try to sort it out more myself too.

- Doncram, thanks for your help on the article. I filled in the pastors list based on sources which listed the dates that they served. Gaps are from places where I was not able to find who the pastor was. A couple of the more recent ones aren't served yet. I'll have to fix that. If you can find sources that include all of them, please fill it in. I can try to do so myself in a little while. I'll work on expanding the sources sometime in the next 24 hours.
- I'd certainly welcome a more detailed physical description. In that case, it would probably be best to move whatever you have from the lead and add a new section, maybe calling it "Architecture." One of us can then add a sentence or two more to the lead to get it more developed. Thanks again. I think it might be best for you to make the DYK nomination. As I've said, I have no experience with it, and would rather see someone else do it than try to do so myself and mess something up. What you had above seems fine. Thanks again.
