Description"South Block", Cowley Hill Lane - geograph.org.uk - 231842.jpg
English: "South Block", Cowley Hill Lane. Before moving to its present site in Hard Lane, Cowley High School occupied 2 adjacent buildings in Cowley Hill Lane. These were known as "North Block" built in 1882 and "South Block" built in 1911. North Block was largely destroyed more recently by fire, demolished and replaced with houses seen far right in the photo. South Block has been retained as private apartments.
