Row houses located at (from right to left) 1735-1741 S Street NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The homes are designated as contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

  • 1735 S Street - Built in 1896, the Queen Anne style home previously served as the residence of Colonel Irvin L. Hunt (see <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Edenton" rel="nofollow">USAT Irvin L. Hunt</a>), offices for A.U. Software, Inc., and offices for the Center for the Advancement of Public Policy.
  • 1739 S Street - Designed in 1892 by architect Nicholas T. Haller – to serve as his private residence – the Richardsonian Romanesque style building has also been home to educator Fannie Haller, Representative <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Wolcott_Wadsworth" rel="nofollow">James Wolcott Wadsworth</a>, chief clerk to the Treasury Secretary Theo F. Swayze, physician James G. McKay, physician Aubrey H. Staples (who later has his medical license revoked for "Veterans' Bureau fraud"), and African American religious leader Bishop E.D.W. (Edward Derusha Wilmot) Jones.
  • 1741 S Street - Built in 1906 for real estate developer Clarence B. Might at a cost of $8,000, the Queen Anne style seven-unit Dawson condominium is a former apartment building designed by architect Albert H. Beers.
