Description1798 Document York Ontario For Settlers To Build Yonge Street in front of their granted lot.jpg
English: This is a photographic copy of a copy of the historic document displayed at the Fort York Historic Site, in downtown Toronto ON Canada. It describes the responsibilities of settlers given plots of land along the right of way that was to become Yonge Street in York Ontario, the original name of Toronto. One of the important requirements is that the settlers build the portion of what was to become Yonge Street that lay along the boundary of their new lot.
