English: 1901 Tractobile Tracto-Surrey
The Tractobile was a device built by the Pennsylvania Steam Vehicle Company in Carlisle PA. Mounted to horse carriages, it made them motorized. Power was by a steam engine. The Company offered also complete cars like this Tracto-Surrey. This picture was used in several publications and in advertising as late as 1903, although offical production ended in 1902.
