Summary

Description

English: How do the 130,000 North Africans live in Paris?

The caption beneath the photo states: The number of unemployed workers among the North Africans in Paris is significant. And when they find work, North Africans are often assigned to the most unsanitary and dirtiest tasks, and they are paid less than their French counterparts for the same work. However, thanks to the efforts of North African and French workers united in their union, construction workers - as shown above - and workers in many other industries have succeeded in establishing the principle of "equal pay for equal work" and qualifying Algerian workers as skilled laborers.
