The First Australian Falcon the XK, featuring a concave grille was basically a right hand version of the American car with adjustments to the suspension and diff. The XK proved to be a little fragile over the outback roads, warranty claims were so costly for Ford that there were rumours that production would be discontinued. But with the support of the U.S. parent company, the car survived.
