English: 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray "GM Styling Special" at the 2024 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. One-off made by the General Motor Styling Studio (who built specials for VIPs) for racing sponsor Ozzie Olson. Modifications include six taillights, Pearlescent Blue paint, Dayton knock-off wire wheels, custom floor grates, lower front fenders with the scallops removed to accommodate the side-mounted exhaust pipes (which didn't appear on the production Corvette until 1965 - these were mockups until the second owner of the car modified them). Fully equipped with air conditioning, white leather interior, and the 300 hp, 327 "Turbo-Fire" V8 with a 2-speed, Powerglide transmission. |
