There are still many, many 2500s on NZ roads - strangely - and it is not uncommon to see ones in daily use. Beige ones are not particularly common.
In New Zealand, CKD production of the Triumph 2000 continued at New Zealand Motor Corporation's Nelson plant, with 2500S models until March 1979. Sir Robert Muldoon, New Zealand's then Prime Minister, privately owned a 2500S and had been known to drive to work in it.
This, along with the Austin Mini, Morris Minor, Ford Escort and Cortina, BMC ADO16 and Toyota Corolla, is a true 'Car of New Zealand.'
