This race car is Holdens VK Commodore SS Group A, it was based on a V8 Berlina and improved by Peter Brock and the Holden Dealer Team, only 200 were made and included were air dam, side skirts, 'letter box' grille, rear spoiler and optional rear facing bonnet scoop. This privately entered car won the 1986 James Hardie 1000 at Bathurst race driven by Allan Grice and his partner Graeme Bailey, they beat the HDT team Commodores, John Harvey and Neal Lowe HDT Commodore came 2nd. 3rd was Nissan Skyline of Gary Scott and Terry Shiel.
