Français : «Monument sculpté au centre de Dunhuang. La joueuse de pipa, Maiko, bondissant. La peinture originale se trouve dans une des deux grottes de l'époque Tang de Mogao. En septembre 1982, le sculpteur Sun Jiyuan a inauguré sa sculpture en béton blanc, qui mesurait 6,6 mètres de haut. C'est devenu un monument de la ville. Pour la ville elle symbolise la paix, la bonté et la pureté, élégante et fraîche, louée par le peuple. En juin 1998, la sculpture a été taillée à nouveau, mais en granit.
