Description One of countless branches in the former East Germany which was operated by class 771 "Ferkeltaxe" railbuses. On 29 May 1992, 771.015 is seen on train 16421, 15:01 Osterwiecke (Harz) to Heudeber-Danstedt. An odd working, from my notes the train up the branch terminated at the station before the end of the line, Osterwieck West. It then ran empty to the end of the branch. As a result, I had a kilometer or two to walk, but easily made the train back. Unusual for a dead end German branch, there were two other trains stabled there, one loco hauled and another class pair of class 771s. Both can be seen here in this photo.
