Description34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair Sheffield Park Station (4).jpg
English: Rebuilt SR Battle of Britain Class loco 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair awaiting to depart with its afternoon passenger train service at Sheffield Park Station on the Bluebell Railway, 34059 was originally built in April 1947 with the air smoothed casing, was then rebuilt to its current condition in April 1960 and was then withdrawn from service in May 1966, and was then transferred to the Woodham Brothers scrapyard before being saved in 1979 by the Bluebell Railway, who then initially returned it to service in 2009 following a 30 year restoration effort, but only lasted 2 years in its first preservation stint when it was withdrawn due to a leaking firebox stay. Several years of an overhaul and fixing the problem has finally paid off with Sir Archie returning to service again this year.
