Description
English: House at 50 Walnut Lane in the Tulpehocken Station Historic District, in Philadelphia. The district has been on the NRHP since November 26, 1985 and is roughly bounded by McCallum Street (N), West Walnut Lane (E), Penn Central railroad tracks (S), and West Tulpehocken Street (W), in the Germantown neighborhood, bordering on the Colonial Germantown Historic District , a National Historic Landmark district. This house designed by Mantle Fielding, and named Comawaben (1899) is an elegant Georgian Revival mansion built in local in Wissahickon schist, that sticks closely to the original Georgian style, except in the huge size of the building.
