Article

Quehanna Wild Area

Purpose of use

The Quehanna Wild Area was originally a nuclear research area for Curtiss-Wright Corporation - this was one of two main facilities in the main complex there (along with the hot cells). Pool reactors are rare and having the control panel on the bridge like this is no longer done. Image is needed to fully understand the facility.

Replaceable?

No. The reactor was decommissioned in the 1960s and the facility torn down by 2009. This is a unique image.
