Summary

Description
English: The AMES Type 6 Mark V was based on the earlier Mark III models, but modified to operate at 600 MHz frequency instead of the 212 or 193 MHz of the earlier models. The shorter wavelength allowed the antennas to be much smaller and made for a more compact and robust array with improved accuracy. The Mark V did not see much use due to the arrival of the US-built SCR-602-Type 8, which operated on the same frequencies but had an improved antenna and was lighter.
