er, twelve months after Lord Glanelybecame possessed of Westward Ho!, his half brotherby The Tetrarch was perhaps the most interesting lotin the catalogue, and it was soon made clear whenhe entered the ring that he was destined to join theother colt. The price paid for the former was passedbefore bidders one after another dropped out, and itwas not till an additional 3000 guineas had been reachedthat the opposition were silenced. For 14,500 guineasBlue Ensign, as he was called, became Lord Glanelysproperty. A stroke of bad luck befell him. Hishock was injured by an accident in his box, thoughhappily the affair did not prove serious. If he neverran he might very likely nevertheless turn out to bea cheap bargain for the stud, but he is in good work(June 1921), is giving every satisfaction, and shouldwin notable races.
