DescriptionA safe exit from the Ebola red zone in Sierra Leone (15722416183).jpg
Joseph gives a thumbs up as he waits to be safely guided through the careful exit procedure from the "red zone" at the Makeni Ebola treatment centre in Sierra Leone.
The red zone is the ward for those who have been confirmed with Ebola and where treatment centre workers must be fully covered up in their safety gear, as they come into direct contact with patients.
On exit, the workers are carefully decontaminated, sprayed down with chlorine to kill the virus and much of their safety gear is destroyed after one use.
