The few remains of the Benedictine Abbotsbury Abbey (St. Peter), Dorset, 4 June 2016. Founded 1044 by the Danish King Cnut's thegn Orca, it was dissolved in 1538 and its destruction was a condition of its sale so that the stone could be re-used as building material. What little remains of the abbey date from the 13th and 14th Centuries. Note the abbey's tithe barn beyond.
