English: Mrs. Abigail Hannah Day Slocomb, also known as Mrs. Cuthbert H. Slocomb, regent of Anna Warner Bailey Connecticut chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. According to Miss Betsey Barber Larrabee, chapter regent from 1919-1923 of the Anna Warner Bailey Chapter, Mrs. Slocomb was a “vigorous leader” and she “turned [the Monument House] into one large attractively decorated room, where relics pertaining to the town’s early history were on display and visitors could rest.”
