Germán Genaro Cipriano Valdés Castillo (1915–1973), más conocido como Tin Tan, famoso y exitoso actor, cantante y comediante mexicano, muy querido por su gracia y versatilidad, una de sus caracterizaciones más conocidas fue la del pachuco.
En su prolífica carrera produjo más de 100 películas, 11 discos, dos cortometrajes, y algunos doblajes memorables para algunas películas de Walt Disney, recordaran el famoso oso Balú de “El libro de la selva”, o a el gato O'Malley en “Los aristogatos”, y en "Robin Hood" es la voz de "Little John" .
Tin Tan amaba Acapulco y siempre que tenía oportunidad elegía el puerto como escenario de sus películas, o venía a pasar vacaciones con su familia o amigos en su yate. La cercanía a la Ciudad de México permitía que con frecuencia se viniera conduciendo su hermoso Cadillac.
Existe una estatua de su figura, inmortalizando al personaje del pachuco, realizada en bronce por el artiza Ariel de la Peña, obra que se constituye en un tributo de los Guerrerenses a su talento y trayectoria, esta estatua esta ubicada el cruce de la Av. La Suiza y el Bulevar Miguel Alemán, o Av. Costera como todos la conocen, en el Acapulco Tradicional.
